IMAG signs partnership agreement with CIBEX East Africa
IMAG – a subsidiary of Messe München –, Trade and Fairs East Africa as well as planetfair have signed a "letter of intent" on November 20, 2015. This includes a distribution collaboration for selected countries for 2016 and 2017.
"CIBEX has resulted in a fantastic expansion of our portfolio of building and construction fairs by adding an exciting market which holds much potential for the future," says Peter Bergleiter, Managing Director of IMAG. As Cluster Director in charge of construction machinery trade fairs of Messe München, Collin Davis assesses this collaboration as follows: "It is very positive that IMAG, which has long-term experience with trade fairs for the construction industry, has opened up the interesting East African region through this distribution partnership."
"We are delighted that Messe München is supporting CIBEX through its subsidiary IMAG and we are looking forward to a successful collaboration," says Skander Negasi, CEO of Trade and Fairs Consulting GmbH and Trade and Fairs East Africa Ltd. Ingo Klöver, CEO of planetfair, adds: "CIBEX is the leading event among East African construction trade fairs. Through this new collaboration, CIBEX is now even better represented in all the major shipping countries worldwide. This gives us the opportunity to develop the trade fair potential for our participants in a more targeted fashion."
The third edition of CIBEX will take place from March 1-3, 2016 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, Kenya.
CIBEX, the International Trade Show for Construction, Infrastructure, Building and Energy, is being organized through a collaboration between Trade and Fairs East Africa and planetfair. A total of 60 exhibitors from 16 countries and 1,586 visitors took part in CIBEX 2016.
