Since it was founded as the first German foreign exhibition company in 1946, IMAG has been involved in more than 5,000 international fairs and exhibitions. Today, IMAG is a reliable partner throughout the world; it also organizes its own trade fairs. A lot has happened in 70 years. See for yourself:

IMAG receives the permission from all four occupation zones to conduct the first official German participation in the form of a joint information stand for the Milan Spring Fair. Exhibitors include Riepe KG from Hamburg with its ink pen from the Rotring brand.
For the first time, the new German "Black/Red/Gold" flag confirmed by the German Federal Assembly is hoisted abroad – at the international fair in Izmir.
The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs in Bonn declares IMAG to be an "implementing company for official events of the German economy abroad".
From 1954 to 1999, IMAG organized ten German industrial exhibitions TECHNOGERMA abroad, the first in Mexico City.

Start of cooperation with the Central Marketing Organization of the German Agricultural Industry (CMA), first exhibition: Concours Général Agricole Paris
German participation in the World Exhibition in Montreal (together with NOWEA, Düsseldorf). This was followed by contributions to four other World EXPOs.

German-Mexican partnership exhibition FIMA in Mexico City
First industrial exhibition TECHNOGERMA of the Federal Republic of Germany in the People's Republic of China, immediately after the establishment of diplomatic relations
Advising the government of Togo in developing a trade fair in Lomé on behalf of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)
Start of the contractual cooperation with the Poznan Exhibition Center in Poland
IMAG becomes a subsidiary of the Munich Trade Fair and Exhibition Company.
Organization of the participation of the European Community at the EXPO in Vancouver
On the occasion of the incorporation of Spain into the EC, IMAG, in cooperation with Messe Berlin, organizes the EXPO ALEMANIA in Madrid.
TECHNOGERMA in New Delhi: More than 280 companies, mainly from the capital goods sector, participate; first IFAT in Beijing.
After 42 years, IMAG is involved again in unified-German activities at trade fairs abroad - the first time at the International Trade Fair Tehran; construction of Exhibition Hall 38, the "German Hall" in Tehran.
